Bell Rock Pathway, Sedona, AZ

Directions: From Phoenix, AZ, take I-17N for 74 miles. Take exit 298 onto AZ-179N. Drive ~8 miles to the Bell Rock Trail parking area on your right.

About the Hike: This is a relaxing, easy 2.4-mile loop trail near Bell Rock. Start out on the Bell Rock Pathway.

You'll start walking along this enjoyable fence line pathway at Big Loop trailhead.

I took a left at the end of the fence-lined trail and wandered along the perimeter of Bell Rock. A little way down the path, you'll have the opportunity to veer off onto the Llama or Baby Bell trails.

I decided to continue along the Bell Rock Pathway.

The courthouse came into view as I walked along the backside of Bell Rock.

I loved this old wooden bridge providing safe passage across the dry creek wash. The dark clouds above gave me pause as I imagined a flash flood rushing through that wash.

At the trail's end, you'll be rewarded with a spectacular view of Cathedral Rock.
